My role as the lead designer involved conceptualizing designs for the ticketing and VIP gifts for the 2023 Outside Lands music festival in San Francisco, California.
I worked closely with the Festival’s marketing and sales team to deliver impactful solutions and ensure a cohesive brand presence across platforms.

Active Planet for Outside Lands
As a San Francisco native, I was thrilled when Active Planet approached with a design request for the Outside Lands Music Festival in San Francisco, California.
They requested I concept design options for the infamous patch that every attendee receives in the mail with their tickets. I was provided a set of brand guidelines, a color palette, fonts, and some recurring design assets for the festival.

The Active Planet team admired my initial concepts and the finalized patch design, so I was asked to additionally concept custom gifts for the VIP members as well as more gifts for the ticketing kit.
We added a temporary (and sparkly) tattoo sheet to the ticketing gifts, so we could include some of the esteemed designs from the patch concepts. For the VIP attendees, we concepted water bottle holders, drink koozies, knit keychains, and playing cards.

From the Festival
I was proud to be entrusted with this project by my managers and was confident in my abilities to encapsulate its familiarities. I attended the last day of the festival and was overjoyed to see people adorned with the tattoos and patch I designed. From time to time, I even find these designs adorning people's refrigerators, coffee tables, clothes, and around their homes.
