Project Background
and Goals:

Kay’s was created to personify and amplify an often unvaryingly and straightforwardly branded product into a zesty, bright, and exciting option on the shelves of grocery stores.

The brand revolves around the founder and mascot, ‘Kay,’ a striking, extroverted, and strong-willed Korean friend of mine, known for enjoying painfully high levels of spice. The brand is punchy, bright, exciting, a little mischievous, and ties Kay to her rich culinary Korean heritage.

What is
Gochujang?

Gochujang is a fermented chili paste, widely used in Korean cuisine. It is fermented for several months in order to develop a complex flavor profile of spicy, sweet, savory, and umami, adding depth and richness to any dish.
